EXPERIENCE

Matti has over 20 years of international experience in the forest industry. Prior to joining UB FIGG, he worked as the owner-CEO of Trussmatic. Trussmatic is the world’s leading producer of fully automatic solutions for the building component manufacturing industry, started by Matti in 2016. He has also worked as the Group CEO of RusForest (listed on Nasdaq Stockholm) based in Moscow. Before this, he held various positions at Pöyry Group, including leading their management consulting business in Russia and the CIS countries.

In addition, Matti has completed various consulting projects through his advisory company for clients such as the World Bank (IFC). Matti has held several board positions during his career.

Matti holds a M.Sc. in Forestry and Agriculture from University of Helsinki.

EXPERIENCE 

Sakari has more than 10 years of experience in international finance focusing on the forest and packaging industries. Prior to joining UB FIGG, Sakari worked in industrials investment banking at Rothschild & Co, HSBC and Pöyry Capital in London. Before moving to London, he worked at the corporate finance boutique Häggblom & Partners in Helsinki, advising mainly forest industry clients.

Sakari holds a M.Sc. in Economics from Aalto University School of Business and a M.Sc. in Technology from Aalto University School of Engineering.
